Conditional use permit approved
On January 20, 2025, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Planning Commission adopted Resolution 24-33, approving a conditional use permit under MSB 17.17 (Denali State Park Special Land Use District) for the construction and operation of an RV campground resort with related amenities at Milepost 135.7, 4852 North Parks Highway.

Workforce housing & hostel accommodations
A new revenue stream that can start within 80 days of financing, answering the urgent need for workforce housing in the area. Prefabricated, insulated, wired and plumbed units — no permit is needed for prefab housing in this area — with twin-bed workforce rooms, guest rooms, a recreation lounge and a laundry unit.
It answers recent announcements nearby: Princess Cruise Lodge’s $70M upgrade with 120 new rooms and 2 restaurants, new DOT bridge construction north and south of the property, and the Alaska LNG pipeline project running through Denali just west of the property.
